Haha! Believe me, I'm only depressing myself. I think I'll stop with the "remake" rant now. The thought of Keanu saying "Klatuu Borata Niktu" in his "can't act my way out of a wet paper bag" way is enough to make me give up on movies altogether!
I had a weird childhood...instead of watching kids movies I watched what my dad was in to so I have a soft place in my heart for The Day the Earth Stood Still, Mommy Dearest and Alfred Hitchcock. Then meeting Dan he has shown me the horrors that are Plan 9 and such :) I am no film buff but I have my favorites :)
No, that's impossible. That can't happen. That cannot happen. That's as goofy as changing guns for walkie-talkies in ET or that fucking Peal Harbor movie where FDR gets so mad at the Nipponese that he stands up.
I can't remember why I was even watching it. Free? Favor for a friend? I'm pretty sure I saw it on the big screen. No blood and I laughed when he stood up. At least so did a few other people.

Ok. Enough. That is one of my favorite movies. Tom, I might have to stop reading your blog if you keep reporting on this bad news.

BTW, you seem to like some pretty cool movies, Erin! What are YOUR Desert Island Dvd's? :)
